Patrick Dlamini Scholarship Fund
A 13 year dream comes true.
Help us send our first orphanage graduate to college!
Patrick came to
Phillip's Rest HIV Orphan Home
when he was around 4½ years old.
Shortly after the
Phillip J. Waldrup Memorial Scholarship Fund
was started at the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf of Howard College,
our foundation built the first HIV Orphan Home in Durban, South Africa for children
who’s parents have died. The Foundation provided funds for the building of the
school, school fees, uniforms and medicine.
One of the visions for the orphan home was to provide scholarships through the
Phillip J. Waldrup Memorial Scholarship Fund to all who graduated from high school
and desired to go onto higher education. Patrick is the first one we wish to help
with a scholarship fund which will pay for his first semester enrollment fees,
books, etc.
Patrick will be attending the Durban University of Technology and will be majoring
in Computer Science. Will you please help us send our first graduated orphan to
college. Your donation is tax deductible. Together we are changing lives!
The Phillip J. Waldrup Memorial Scholarship Fund endowment at the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf of Howard College was to given to Marcela Baca (SWCID), Big Springs, Texas.
