Water, the essential element for all life. Here in America we take it
for granted, clean, safe water to drink, bath and cook with. It is not so
in some other countries where the water is not safe. In Kharagpur, West
Bengal, India, it was the case in which they had to catch rain water and
boil it to be germ free to drink and cook with as the current well water
had arsenic and other harmful minerals. Through the help of the Phillip J.
Waldrup Foundation a new water well was purchased with water purifier and
filter system for the initial purchase price of $3,000 so they now have
clean, safe water. We have budgeted a $500 annual reserve for any maintenance
issues that may arise in the future.
