The community of Angara, Rajahmundry, India didn't have a church nor
a Community Center. A gentlemen in the community deeded three acres of
land to the village. The Phillip J. Waldrup Foundation was made aware of
it though friends from Hyderabad, India and asked if we could help.
Though much consideration and prayer we took on the task that lasted five
years, but by Gods grace we got it done. The finished work is a monument,
beautiful, both inside and out depicting the generous support of many who
made it possible.
When this new church and community center was built in its new location, it
left the existing church about five miles away in a dilapidated condition
which the people of that community could no longer use.
Since our Foundation was instrumental in the building of the new church and
community center, we were asked if we could do something for the people at
the old location as well. With much consideration and prayer we have decided
to take on this task. This new project in now under construction.
